A band of heavy rain soon arrives over Ireland and western Scotland through Friday morning and moving over Wales and Western England in the afternoon. Far eastern parts remaining dry with sunny spells. Windy with gales in west, but higher winds in east. Tops of 14C in north and 16C in south.

This band of rain will reach far east overnight into Friday with clear conditions following on the back with occasional showers, these more frequent over western Ireland. A mild night for most with temperatures dropping to 12-14C, but lower over Ireland with minimums of 8C.
